Run Away from any Profession that is Out to Impoverish You

All established professions known to our world are beneficial and meant to make life better, more comfortable and enjoyable for the people of our world.

Example:

The engineering profession has been seeking ways of making life better for the populace.

1.     Automobile cars that used to come with manual operated gear levers have almost been replaced with automatic gear system, which makes people who have physical disabilities to be able to drive such automobile.

2.     Grinding machines have been provided through engineering fits to make life easier and less labourious for people especially rural dwellers.

3.     Machines that boil and pound yams – producing pounded yam at the same time has been produced to make life enjoyable for all and sundry.

Chaplaincy profession is also cut out to be of benefit to the people of our world.

1.     Can you enumerate what comfort, enjoyments and benefits chaplaincy has brought to people in Nigeria?

2.     Make a list of products chaplaincy has xxx out or services for the benefit of the people.

I in my person as a chaplain (chap. Prof. Mike-Jacobs) stand here to declare that the noble profession chaplaincy is beneficial to people of our world in whatever sectors of the economy they are found or in whatever nations of the world people sojourn.

If chaplaincy has been found to be beneficial, rewarding and profitable in developed nations of the world, and chaplaincy is considered otherwise in the continent of Africa and Nigeria in particular; the problem is not in the profession but the torch bearers of the profession in Nigeria and Africa.

These torch bearers are non-professionals but jamboree organizers, who know next to nothing about chaplaincy profession. Remember as many people as are led by blind man know their destination before their take off.

Chaplaincy profession can never impoverish you; but unknowledgeable chaplaincy leaders can impoverish and stagnate you in life, run away from them. Key into the revolutionary move and become professionally qualified and also profitable chaplain of our age.
