Meditation in Chaplaincy Practice and Service Delivery

Meditation in Chaplaincy Practice and Service Delivery
In providing spiritual care services for clients and members of their families, practicing chaplains have a duty to make their clients go through meditation, where necessary; assisting them to meditate properly and profitably.
However, this assignment or duty may become a mere lip service unless the practicing chaplains comes to grips with what is meant by meditation and what it is intended to achieve in the long run.
Meditation in its simplest form is the emptying of people’s minds, helping them to empty their thoughts; encouraging them to have perfect reflection over what is happening to them.
It is also assisting them to concentrate their minds, thoughts on something profitable; helping to refocus their minds on beneficial things for profitable development of the individuals.
Beloved chaplains, you can all see that to be a chaplain and a functional and beneficial one goes beyond mere jamboree. Thanks be to God Almighty, the Master Chaplain, for the technicality of helping people go through proper meditation can be learned. Embrace learning now!
