What YOU Need to Know About CCPE Study Programme
1.     The meaning of CCPE is Clinical Chaplaincy and Psycho-spiritual-Care Education.
2.     CCPE study programme is a professional training and education which seeks to prepare chaplains and spiritual care providers for certification to practice chaplaincy professionally both in public and private settings.
3.     The study is for all chaplains who desire to become professionally qualified to practice chaplaincy.
4.     Entry qualification is Diploma or Supervisory in general chaplaincy education or Diploma in Theology with chaplaincy concentration.
5.     The CCPE study programme is a supervised professional practice training with a lot of practical, which makes it mandatory for candidates to be engaged in chaplaincy practice no matter how little.
6.     Candidate must be prepared to cultivate the habit of documenting things as evidence base chaplaincy practice is necessary.
7.     Units of CCPE earned by candidates from this study make them eligible to seek professional chaplaincy certification in The Association of Professional Chaplains.
8.     Studies are presented in modules for each unit and credits earned. The completion of units 1 and 2 of the CCPE makes the candidate eligible to seek certification as General Chaplaincy Practioner (GCP) also known as “Generalist.”
9.     Upon the completion of CCPE unit 3, the candidate will be eligible to seek certification as “Spiritual Care Specialist” with APCIN.
10.                        After the completion of unit 3, candidates who are interested in specialized area of their choice such as Health care, school, workplace, correctional, critical incident, conflict resolution etc, may then pursue such studies to make them eligible to seek certification with APCIN.
11.                        Unit 4 CCPE study programme is unique and targets at developing chaplains for leadership positions to enable them become professional supervisors. This is called Board certification level which make candidates eligible to seek certification in APCIN.
12.                        For those interested to become Certified Chaplaincy Educators (CCE), board certification is the requirement for intake and acceptance.
