Discovered
Truth
There are things which makes one excel above others in
life; some of these I am about enumerating here below. Anyone who is seeking
excellence will know what he/she has to develop and have.
1.
Uncommon
endowments from Almighty God which is beyond what is granted others.
2.
Uncommon life
style. Many of the people that excelled in life lived uncommon life style such
as solitary lives, adventurous lives and exploitative lives.
3.
Uncommon
ambition. This is holy and profitable ambition to benefit humanity.
4.
Uncommon
character. This is an elevated character which is able to distinguish one from others
and also makes one superior to others.
5.
Uncommon
dedication. This is high dedication to duty, to calling, to one’s profession
and occupation which is capable of making one distinct and different from
others.
6.
Uncommon
education and training. This is high standard of education and training which
prepares one for the task ahead and makes different from others.
7.
Uncommon
knowledge. This is a special knowledge which must be acquired either by
learning on the job, education, training, experience or exposure, which makes
one specially prepared for a task.
8.
Uncommon wisdom.
This is another endowment of God which one can pray to have which is capable of
making one to excel above others. For example, Wisdom of Solomon.
9.
Uncommon spirit.
Again, this is an endowment of God and can also be prayed for, which is capable
to making one different from others and excel above others. E.g. Uncommon
spirit endowed Daniel in Babylon.
10.
Uncommon skills. Skills are usually developed
or acquired in training, skill acquisition or capacity development; which gives
one the opportunity to perform better than others.
11.
Uncommon
understanding. This is not a gift as such but must be developed; as robust
understanding of one’s work, profession, occupation etc. makes ones to excel
above others in life.
12.
Uncommon sacrifice.
In trodden the path of excellence, one must be able to make sacrifices denying
oneself some pleasantries, comfort and enjoyment; for it is not possible for
one to eat his/her cake and also have it
at the same time.
13.
Uncommon planning.
It is an accepted adage that one who fails to plan for success is actually
planning to fail. There must be adequate planning for success and excellence
for it does not just come in the form of magic or miracle.
14.
Uncommon
perseverance. One must demonstrate uncommon perseverance and doggedness for
what one beliefs in and what one is pursuing in life. There are always many
dissenting voices and discouragement in life; and if one cannot persistently
stand his/her ground, one may be taken away from the path of success and
excellence.
15.
Uncommon goal
setting. This is a goal setting which denotes a blueprint for what you want to
accomplish in life, professionally, educationally, materially and service wise.
16.
Will power and
determination. This may involve political will, career will, spiritual will,
social will etc, which makes people different, excelling above others.
